About Knovya
Knovya was built to be the missing function of your brain — an AI-native knowledge base that turns recall into recognition. Built and maintained by Hasan Yilmaz, Founder & Engineer.
Mission
The human brain is brilliant at recognition but terrible at recall. Knovya fills that gap — capturing knowledge with zero friction and surfacing it at the moment of need. We are building the missing function of your brain.
Every Knovya note is a node in a living knowledge graph. Notes become searchable by meaning rather than keyword, organize themselves through AI-assisted classification, and connect to the tools you already use through the Model Context Protocol (MCP). The result: a knowledge base that gets smarter the more you use it, without locking your data away.
Founder
Hasan Yilmaz is the Founder & Engineer behind Knovya. He directs both the product vision and the engineering work — designing the architecture, writing the canonical plans, and shipping the codebase that powers Knovya today.
[Founder bio placeholder — Hasan will expand this section with engineering background, prior work, the story behind Knovya, and the principles that guide its design. This skeleton ships the structural shell so the page can be indexed; the long-form bio is the next deliverable on the Content Master Plan.]
What We Believe
- Recognition over recall. Memory is unreliable; the brain recognizes patterns far better than it retrieves facts. Tools should turn every recall problem into a recognition problem.
- Zero friction capture. If saving a thought takes more than two seconds, the thought is lost. Knovya is engineered around that constraint.
- Your data, your keys. Knovya offers per-note end-to-end encryption with zero-knowledge architecture — the server never sees your decrypted content.
- Open by protocol. MCP-first means your knowledge is reachable from any AI client that speaks the protocol — not trapped behind a single vendor.
